TROY — Troy police and other law enforcement agencies are on the search for a suspect believed to be driving a white Dodge Durango in connection with a shooting that put a woman in the hospital.

FARMINGTON HILLS — The Farmington Hills Police Department began a criminal investigation of a Farmington Public Schools employee Jan. 31 after hearing a report that the employee allegedly had solicited “inappropriate” photos of a 13-year-old female student, according to a press release from the city of Farmington Hills.

GROSSE POINTE CITY — A member of the Grosse Pointe Public Safety Department will soon be back on the beat and serving the City, after serving his country in the military.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — At approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 31, Shelby Township police and firefighters responded to a crash in which a vehicle had hit a pedestrian on 25 Mile Road, near Mound Road.

AUBURN HILLS — On Feb. 2, at approximately 11 p.m., personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Auburn Hills Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash at the exit ramp from Southbound I-75 to Eastbound M-59.

WARREN — On Jan. 23, the Warren City Council unanimously approved the Warren Fire Department’s $81,317 purchase of four new drones.

ROSEVILLE — A 54-year-old Roseville man is facing a charge of murder for allegedly beating his 72-year-old housemate to death.

WEST BLOOMFIELD — West Bloomfield doctor Scott Henry Cooper, 61, was sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to the unlawful prescribing of prescription drug-controlled substances, U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison announced in a press release Jan. 12.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — After investigating an incident Jan. 9 in which two Shelby Township police officers opened fire on a suspect, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office determined that the officers acted according to the law and their training and that no charges would be requested against the officers.

SOUTHFIELD — When asked about her favorite part of being a K-9 handler for the Southfield Police Department, Officer Ashley Daisley said, “Everything.”
