SHELBY TOWNSHIP —  A Shelby Township Planning Commission member has been charged after allegedly writing a nearly $100,000 check with insufficient funds in the bank.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Deshawn Steven Johnson, a 51-year-old man, has been charged with robbing the Mi Bank at 3707 W. Maple Road April 1.

SOUTHFIELD — The 46th Judicial District Court will conduct an amnesty program through May 1.

ROSEVILLE — One person died in a two-vehicle crash at approximately 9:30 p.m. April 9 on southbound Groesbeck Highway, just south of Martin Road, that Roseville police suspect involved a drunken driver.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A Shelby Township man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography has been charged with 12 felonies, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.

TROY — Robert Paljusevic was recently sentenced to more than 13 years in prison for a shooting that occurred last year at Corewell Beaumont Troy Hospital. 

ROCHESTER — A 31-year-old man from Rochester has been sentenced after threatening a Macomb County Circuit Court judge.

ROCHESTER HILLS — A 32-year-old man from Detroit is facing a criminal charge after allegedly exposing himself inside a Walmart in Rochester Hills.

BERKLEY — A 41-year-old Redford man was arrested for a hit-and-run after he allegedly damaged two vehicles during the morning of March 25 near Coolidge Highway and Catalpa Drive.

GROSSE POINTE PARK — Crime numbers took a double-digit dive last year in Grosse Pointe Park, according to the Park Department of Public Safety’s annual report for 2025 — a surprise even to Public Safety Director James Bostock.

FARMINGTON HILLS — Police now believe that the driver of a black SUV was driving the wrong way on Interstate 696 when he reportedly collided head-on into a white van, killing an 81-yar-old man from Detroit in the early morning hours of March 13.
