SOUTHFIELD — The Southfield Fire Department arrived at a house fire at approximately 8:20 p.m. Jan. 27 in the 22000 block of Leewright Avenue, south of Nine Mile Road and west of Telegraph Road, and found the structure with heavy smoke and flames.

SOUTHFIELD — The fifth grade girls basketball team from Southfield Christian School has gone undefeated for the last two years, and the girls attribute this success to their teamwork, faith and attitudes on and off the court.

LATHRUP VILLAGE — At its Jan. 26 meeting, the Lathrup Village City Council approved ballot language for a proposed library millage that will be placed on the November 2026 ballot.

SOUTHFIELD — Missing Southfield teenager Ethan Casey has made contact with his mother, according to the Southfield Police Department.

SOUTHFIELD – The Southfield Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating missing 15-year-old Ethan Casey. Casey is 5 feet, 5 inches tall’and approximately 170 pounds. He is Black, has a short afro, pierced ears and brown eyes.
