TROY —  At a Troy City Council meeting April 21, council members unanimously approved contracts and budget considerations for upgrades and renovations to the Troy Police Department’s (TPD) Emergency Communications Center.

TROY — A contract for the purchase and installation of a play structure and associated amenities for Boulan Park was unanimously approved by Troy City Council members at a council meeting April 21. A budget amendment associated with the item was also approved.

TROY — The Troy School District (TSD) has announced that Phyllis Walters, a secretary at Wass Elementary School, has been named as the district’s 2024-2025 Outstanding Support Staff Person of the Year.

TROY — At a meeting April 8, the Troy Planning Commission unanimously approved the recommendation for a conditional rezoning of a subject parcel from NN (Neighborhood Node) and R-1B to RT, as a part of the Village of Hastings residential project, located in the Telford Ridge subdivision near the east side of Livernois Road and the north side of Square Lake Road.

TROY — The  Stage Nature Center recently received a boost, as 100 Women Who Care donated approximately $6,500 toward the nonprofit’s “Nature-based Mindfulness and Science Experiences for At-Risk Youth” initiative.
