ST. CLAIR SHORES — According to a press release from the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, 20-year-old Joel Edwards was bound over for trial on all counts related to an alleged plan to attack a St. Clair Shores elementary school. 

FRASER — On Jan. 29, staffers at Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick presented a proposed plan for a Mulvey Road pathway in Fraser.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Jan. 19, a St. Clair Shores resident celebrated her 100th birthday.  Marjorie Nank grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms. She grew up boating as her father was a fisherman on Lake St. Clair.  Nank found work for herself typing documents for a neighbor.

FRASER — At its meeting on Jan. 8, the Fraser City Council considered and approved allocations for the city’s Community Development Block Grant money, which helps many nonprofits that provide services in the community. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Renovations at the library are underway with added details that have pushed the opening date back a little bit.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — According to a press release from Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido’s office, a Detroit resident was sentenced on Jan. 8 for a false bomb threat against Lake Shore High School after pleading guilty. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Jan. 21, Greenwood Elementary School welcomed famed author Johnathan Rand to their building to talk to the kids about his books as well as the benefits of reading and books in general. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Jan. 17, the city of St. Clair Shores hosted its Diamond Jubilee Gala, celebrating the 75 years of its existence.

FRASER — At its final meeting of 2025, the Fraser City Council received a clean audit report from the contracted firm of Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Advisors.
