HARRISON TOWNSHIP — On Feb. 17, John Hefling, the owner of Hefling’s Amish Farm Market, passed away.

FRASER — At its meeting on Feb. 12, the Fraser City Council voted 7-0 to approve the proposed text of an ordinance amendment governing corner lot fences. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Feb. 13, the Shorewood Kiwanis in collaboration with Macomb Community College unveiled the logo for this year’s Harper Charity Cruise. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Preparations have started for the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade with plans to celebrate the city’s 75th anniversary and country’s 250th birthday. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Construction on the Central Fire Station and the Police Department are reportedly ongoing with minimal delays. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The Lakeview Community Theatre Guild will present “Mary Poppins” in March, a production bringing current students and alumni together for a magical time. 

HARRISON TOWNSHIP— On Feb. 16, members of the Huron Pointe Yacht Club and Harrison Township residents gathered for a presentation about Microseira wollei, a mucky algae causing problems for watercraft and people.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — According to a press release from the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, 20-year-old Joel Edwards was bound over for trial on all counts related to an alleged plan to attack a St. Clair Shores elementary school. 

FRASER — On Jan. 29, staffers at Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick presented a proposed plan for a Mulvey Road pathway in Fraser. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Grab your gals and your pals and get ready to celebrate Galentine’s Day in downtown St. Clair Shores. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — At their meeting on Feb. 2, the St. Clair Shores City Council approved a resolution to adopt an updated Federal Emergency Management Agency hazard mitigation plan in a 7-0 vote. 

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Over the course of the school year, St. Clair Shores school districts have been busy improving facilities and building new ones to welcome in students. 

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — At their meeting on Jan. 26, Harrison Township trustees approved the demolition of a South River Road property in a 6-0 vote.
