WARREN — On March 8, 1974, four Mott High School students went out on the town for a night of pinball and teenage antics.

EASTPOINTE/WARREN — The ShamRock Jazz Orchestra will come in “swinging” March 29, and this time they’re bringing a special guest: drummer Danny Seraphine of the famed rock band Chicago.

STERLING HEIGHTS — The Sterling Heights community relations staff recently received several regional and national awards for communication excellence.

EASTPOINTE — The finances in Eastpointe Community Schools are in good shape, according to a recent audit conducted by the Michigan-based accounting and advisory firm, Yeo and Yeo.

ROSEVILLE — Students currently enrolled in health class at Roseville High School received several lessons in distracted driving when the International Save a Life Tour came to the school Feb. 24.

WARREN — “Catching Up with Alumni” highlights the accomplishments of local high school graduates. In this issue, is the story of Lincoln High School graduates Adnan Durrani, Class of 1993, and DeAndre Tucker, Class of 2009, who now serve as the high school’s resource officers.

WARREN — The fashion savvy gathered in New York City last month. Designers, models, celebrities and journalists set trends in Manhattan Feb. 6-11 for New York Fashion Week. There were nonstop fashion shows, photo shoots, glitz and glamour, and offbeat styles.

STERLING HEIGHTS/WARREN — Rachael Gurjack, an elementary-level STEM teacher in the Warren Consolidated Schools district, is always finding ways to get the students engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — On Feb.  18, one week before Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity held a roundtable discussion in Macomb County to discuss the first-ever Statewide Workforce Plan.
