BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Last year, Bloomfield Hills High School students were inspired to form a debate club. This year, the club has officially become a team that has proven itself time and time again at tournaments.

BIRMINGHAM — Every holiday season, it is a family tradition for Birmingham Village Players member Joe Vercellone to watch Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” This year, Vercellone and his son Phillip adapted the show into a one-man play to be performed as a fundraiser for the Birmingham Village Players. 

BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Museum will be starting the year off with the opening of a new exhibit that celebrates local history. 

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Bloomfield Township was recently awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program grant from the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments for a 1.4-mile pedestrian safety path that will be installed along Telegraph Road, between Golf Drive and Mall Drive. 

BIRMINGHAM — The city of Birmingham will be planting a record-breaking number of trees this fall for the 2025 Fall Tree Purchase and Plant. To keep up the natural environment within the city, a tree purchase and planting is held twice a year.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Some Cranbrook students will have the opportunity to take a bus to school next year. For the 2026-27 school year, students in and around the Livonia area will be on the inaugural route.

BIRMINGHAM — The Baldwin Public Library will hold its second annual Local Author Fair, which provides an opportunity for the community to meet local authors and learn about their work, 2-4 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Baldwin Public Library, 300 W. Merrill St.

BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Village Players’ production of Neil Simon’s “Lost in Yonkers” explores the dynamic of a family living in Yonkers, New York, in 1942. It revolves around two teenage boys who move in with their grandmother and Aunt Bella while their father is traveling for work.
