FERNDALE — Three men were arrested this month for allegedly impersonating police officers during an August home invasion.

OAKLAND COUNTY — An increase in thieves breaking into multimillion-dollar homes across northern Oakland County and stealing valuables has prompted Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard to create a new task force targeting what he believes is a transnational crime ring.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Motorists should be on high alert for deer in the roadway this winter. Each year, there are over 50,000 deer-car crashes reported in Michigan, according to the Michigan State Police, with the majority of vehicle-deer crashes occurring in the late fall and early winter.

FERNDALE — A 50-year-old Detroit man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to rob a bank in Ferndale last month.

FERNDALE — A recount was initiated and completed for the Ferndale City Council election, and the result remained the same.

OAKLAND COUNTY — The Michigan High School Athletic Association swim and dive state finals marked a successful end to the season for a slew of Oakland County teams Nov. 18.

FERNDALE — As part of their yearly donation, Ferndale Pride and the Ferndale Community Foundation will be granting $24,500 to 11 local organizations.

BERKLEY — For the first time in its history, Berkley will have a Black City Council member.
