FRASER — The filing deadline for the Fraser City Council race passed on July 22 and the stage is set for the Nov. 4 election. 

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — After a month of observation, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees on Aug. 13 found Priority Waste’s performance improved enough to keep its waste hauler contact, at least for another month.

UTICA/STERLING HEIGHTS — State Rep. Ron Robinson, R-Utica, appeared before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor and Economic Opportunity in late July to advocate in support of two grant proposals for public safety and infrastructure in Macomb County.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A Detroit man is facing charges after reportedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in Shelby Township.

UTICA — On Sept. 20, community members can participate in the Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation’s 14th annual Glow Run to further support advocacy and active programming for young adults as they address their cancer diagnoses.
