GROSSE POINTE FARMS — The aging main building of a local sailing club is about to get a makeover. Crescent Sail Yacht Club, at 276 Lake Shore Road in Grosse Pointe Farms, received unanimous approval Dec. 10 from the Farms City Council for renovations on the clubhouse.

Pam Marcil retired as the Detroit Institute of Arts’ public relations director Nov. 30.
