BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood seniors Madeline Day and Sophia Tang received the 2025 Scholar-Athlete Award through the MHSAA and the Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award program.

TROY — The Michigan Senior Olympics men’s hockey tournament returns to Buffalo Wild Wings Arena in Troy this week from March 5-7, with senior players from all over Michigan and several from Canada.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Bloomfield Hills High School has hired former Lawrence Tech University and Chippewa Valley High School head coach Scott Merchant to be the school’s next football coach.

EASTPOINTE — On Friday, Feb. 21, Da’Nyah Sadler drove to the rim, made contact with her defender, and stepped back for a shot. When the ball came down, it ended up being the 1,000th career point of her Eastpointe High School basketball career.

GROSSE POINTES — The 4 Nations Face-Off tournament final between Canada and the United States of America Feb. 20 was one of the most-watched hockey games ever, and in the thick of it all was Grosse Pointe North High School alumnus Zach Werenski.
