’Tis the season
EASTPOINTE — The public is invited to the annual Eastpointe tree-lighting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 in front of City Hall, 23200 Gratiot Ave. The event activities will include lighting the city’s Christmas tree, singalongs, refreshments, visits with Santa and crafts for kids.

The tree-lighting will also kick off the city’s second annual Light Up the Night. All businesses located on Gratiot Avenue are encouraged to decorate their storefronts with Christmas lights and turn them on simultaneously at 7 p.m. during the tree-lighting. The idea is to not only spread holiday cheer, but draw attention to local businesses.
