ST. CLAIR SHORES — A 7-year-old child was killed on Oct. 24 as the result of a single-vehicle incident at Blossom Heath Park, according to a release from the St. Clair Shores Police Department.
According to the release, St. Clair Shores police responded to the park at 3:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers reportedly provided medical assistance until the Fire Department arrived. Police said the child was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation. Police said all parties were cooperating with investigators. The vehicle involved in the incident was impounded as part of the investigation. Police said the process of speaking to witnesses and gathering information is ongoing.
