OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — New safety paths could soon be in the works in Oakland Township.

STERLING HEIGHTS — Another planned unit development proposal for an apartment complex was recently approved by the Sterling Heights City Council — this time for the north part of the city.

MADISON HEIGHTS — At a workshop by the Madison Heights Planning Commission Feb. 6, the citizen-led board discussed possible revisions to the city’s zoning ordinance.

FARMINGTON — When the U.S. House of Representatives passed a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill Dec. 23 to fund the federal government through fiscal year 2023, one of the big winners was the city of Farmington.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Work on the regional water transmission system will impact a section of water transmission main that serves Farmington Hills, Farmington, West Bloomfield, Walled Lake, Novi, Commerce and Wixom, according to a press release from the Great Lakes Water Authority.

NOVI — Carvana LLC voluntarily surrendered its Michigan dealer license Jan. 10 as part of a settlement agreement with the Michigan Department of State for multiple violations of the Michigan Vehicle Code.

SOUTHFIELD — Three Michigan network companies have partnered to create a 90-mile fiber route from Southfield to Lansing.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Macomb residents will have a new store to shop at on Jan. 26, as Meijer opens up its new grocery-focused concept at 24 Mile and Hayes roads.
