SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A relic of a French priest — his physical heart —made a visit to a Shelby Township parish March 30 for people to visit in veneration. The relic of St. John Vianney is making a pilgrimage across the country, visiting 97 public locations plus other locations for private veneration, through May 4. The tour began in November.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A man from Shelby Township was arraigned at the 41-A District Court Feb. 28 for the death of a 15-year-old in a fatal crash that occurred in Shelby Township in January. Albert Donadio, 33, was arraigned on one count of operating under the influence of drugs causing death, a 15-year felony, and reckless driving causing death.
