MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Macomb Township trustees held the floor for over an hour during their second bimonthly meeting on July 26, discussing a variety of items pertaining to future developments and plans for the township.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The future of Harrison Township’s public services management was a key focus at the July 24 meeting of the Board of Trustees.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — As a seat opens up, the fight to fill it begins. Jenifer “Joie” West resigned from the Clinton Township Board of Trustees at its July 31 meeting, ending 19 years as a trustee and opening a vacancy nearly a year out from the 2024 elections. Her last day was Aug. 1.

MACOMB COUNTY — It is no secret that Lake St. Clair is a livelihood for its shoreline towns and Macomb County as a whole, but how much is the lake actually worth?

MOUNT CLEMENS — The Mount Clemens City Commission took a step towards reducing substance abuse problems in the city by allocating its 2023 opioid settlement funds to the Families Against Narcotics HARM:LESS program.

MACOMB COUNTY — The project to upgrade the Macomb County Jail’s mental health capabilities has been given the green light.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — A broken water main in Macomb Township caused five communities in Macomb and Oakland counties to be under a boil water advisory from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Board of Trustees turned its eye to trimming its special assessment district deficits, among other business, at its July 10 meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — On July 12, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees lauded state Sen. Veronica Klinefelt for providing the township $5 million in the newest state budget to expedite the Broughton Road extension project.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — As the annual Gratiot Cruise nears, the Clinton Township Board of Trustees spent significant time discussing the event at its July 10 meeting.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Once a motel and long since an eyesore, a deal between the city and a developer would double the residential space in downtown Mount Clemens.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The June 28 Macomb Township Board of Trustees meeting was more celebratory than business as usual. Officials shined a light on the achievements of Clerk Kristi Pozzi and presented badges to Macomb Township firefighters.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Damitre Johnson started playing a video game because of the characters in it. This fall, Johnson will be going to college because of it.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — From rigs to wreckers, monster trucks and all that’s between and beyond, all were there to be seen and climbed upon at Tons ’O Trucks & Wheeled Wonders on June 24.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Auditing firm Rehmann gave the Harrison Township Board of Trustees an “unmodified opinion” on its fiscal year 2022 books, delivering its report at the June 26 meeting.
