CENTER LINE — With Center Line Public Schools offering courses in which students explore career possibilities at every grade level, district officials have partnered with local businesses.

CENTER LINE — Local first responders visited Center Line High School June 9 to talk to second grade students about their careers.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Oakland Community College is continuing its partnership with the Detroit Institute of Arts through the DIA’s Inside|Out program.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Macomb Community College South Campus in Warren last month hosted approximately 2,500 students, educators and parents from Macomb County and beyond at the 38th annual Elementary Science Olympiad Tournament.

FARMINGTON/FARMINGTON HILLS — On June 11, 633 students filed into the USA Hockey arena to receive their diplomas during graduation ceremonies for Farmington and North Farmington high schools.

NOVI — Approximately 515 Wildcats converged upon the George Gervin GameAbove Center at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti June 1 for the final roar of the Class of 2023 at the Novi High School commencement ceremony.

FRASER — Each year, on their last day of class, the graduating seniors of Fraser High School take one last walk around the building to the cheers of their fellow students and led by the school marching band.

ROSEVILLE/EASTPOINTE — When Austin Barnett was in the eighth grade, he set a goal for himself: to be valedictorian when he graduated from high school.

UTICA/SHELBY TOWNSHIP/STERLING HEIGHTS — At the Michigan Association of Family and Consumer Sciences spring conference, Stevenson High School family and consumer sciences teacher Kristina Robinson was named the 2023 Teacher of the Year.  

BLOOMFIELD HILLS/BIRMINGHAM — Teachers of the Year have been named for Bloomfield Hills Schools and Birmingham Public Schools, three teachers in each district.

TROY — Two juniors at Athens High School are being recognized after placing second in C-SPAN’s national StudentCam documentary competition.

ROSEVILLE — Last month, Roseville Community Schools officials announced the addition of four new middle school STEAM courses for the 2023-24 school year.

BIRMINGHAM — Since they were in seventh grade, four students have been visiting local assisted living centers in Birmingham and Troy to play music as a string quartet.
