SOUTHFIELD — Oakland Community College and Lawrence Technological University signed a pre-engineering transfer articulation agreement allowing OCC students to transfer their credits seamlessly into one of the five LTU engineering disciplines Nov. 4.

CENTER LINE — The Center Line City Council has approved a proposal to apply for a state grant to place a public safety officer in Center Line Public Schools.

FARMINGTON — Students and staff at Farmington High School faced three school shooting threats over the course of eight days, Oct. 31-Nov. 8.

FARMINGTON HILLS — On Nov. 11, Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King issued a statement about a North Farmington High School student being arrested for posting photographs of a nonsexual nature of female students to a pornographic website.

FERNDALE — Ferndale police arrested two Ferndale High School students a day apart for separately making threats against the school. 

FERNDALE — A student at Ferndale High School has been arrested for allegedly making threats of violence on social media against the school.

ROSEVILLE — A Roseville High School student is facing charges after allegedly bringing a gun to school.

STERLING HEIGHTS/SHELBY TOWNSHIP/UTICA — On Nov. 1, Schwarzkoff Elementary School students experienced a “Day of Awesomeness."

TROY — While many teens enjoy video and computer games as a pastime, those in the Troy School District can now put their skills to the test as the district joins the communities taking part in AoE Esports, a competitive esports league.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS — Grosse Pointe North High School students are bringing their vocal and acting talents to a classic Disney musical.

BIRMINGHAM — Groves High School will be putting on a production of “Chicago: High School Edition,” by John Kander and Fred Ebb. The first weekend of shows took place Nov. 4-6, and performances Nov. 11-13 will follow.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP/UTICA — The College Board, which administers Advanced Placement tests, has announced that 573 Utica Community Schools students have received national scholar designations.
