TROY — The City of Troy Seniors Group is welcoming the public to join them for a performance by Matthew Ball, also known as the Boogie-Woogie Kid.
Ball, who boasts a YouTube channel with 5 million views, will host a family-friendly holiday musical performance in which he will perform American songbook favorites from New Orleans and the Swing Era in addition to several holiday classics.
Songs include “In the Mood,” “Let's Call the Whole Thing Off,” “It Had to be You,” When The Saints go Marchin’ In,” “Basin Street Blues,” “On the Sunny Side of the Street” and “Bumble Boogie.”
The performance will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1 :30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Troy Community Center’s Theater Room. It is located at 3179 Livernois Road in Troy. Those who wish to register to attend the event, or those who have questions, can call (248) 524-3484.
