MOUNT CLEMENS — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a morning shooting in Mount Clemens on Friday, Feb. 23. Around 7:10 a.m., Macomb County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Hubbard Street in response to a reported shooting.

WARREN — On Feb. 20, a Warren man was arraigned in the 37th District Court on murder and weapons charges after his wife was fatally shot in their home near Nine Mile and Dequindre roads.

KEEGO HARBOR — The Keego Harbor Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a driver who intentionally ran over a pedestrian.

FRASER — Trooper Maxwell Prince was no stranger to risk as part of his duties on the Michigan State Police Emergency Response Team, but nothing could have prepared him for getting shot seven times while defending his fellow troopers.

TROY — A Roseville man employed as the manager of a Troy grocery store has been charged with allegedly embezzling more than $750,000 from Fresh Thyme Market.

TROY — A Troy-based business that owns several local restaurants has been fined by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division for improperly employing minors.

SOUTHFIELD — A 15-year-old Ferndale resident died Feb. 15 following a shooting at a Southfield hotel several days earlier, police said.

ROYAL OAK— The Royal Oak Police Department is now taking applications for its first Youth Police Academy, which will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22-26.

TROY — Troy police and other law enforcement agencies are on the search for a suspect believed to be driving a white Dodge Durango in connection with a shooting that put a woman in the hospital.

WARREN — Edward Hanna served with the Warren Fire Department for more than 25 years and retired from his post as chief of EMS on Jan. 27.

GROSSE POINTE FARMS — A suspect was arrested in the early morning hours of Feb. 18 in connection with an armed robbery at Village Market, 18330 Mack Ave. in Grosse Pointe Farms, Feb. 15.

WARREN — On Feb. 9, three suspects were arraigned in the 37th District Court on narcotics charges and other offenses following a Warren Police Department drug bust.

HAZEL PARK — A man living on the street faces criminal charges after he reportedly broke into a local business seeking refuge from the cold.

HAZEL PARK — A man brandishing a knife threatened a woman at a Hazel Park pharmacy and drove off with her vehicle, only to be captured a short time later with the help of Ferndale police.

FARMINGTON HILLS — The Farmington Hills Police Department began a criminal investigation of a Farmington Public Schools employee Jan. 31 after hearing a report that the employee allegedly had solicited “inappropriate” photos of a 13-year-old female student, according to a press release from the city of Farmington Hills.

GROSSE POINTE CITY — A member of the Grosse Pointe Public Safety Department will soon be back on the beat and serving the City, after serving his country in the military.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — At approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 31, Shelby Township police and firefighters responded to a crash in which a vehicle had hit a pedestrian on 25 Mile Road, near Mound Road.

AUBURN HILLS — On Feb. 2, at approximately 11 p.m., personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Auburn Hills Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash at the exit ramp from Southbound I-75 to Eastbound M-59.
