AUBURN HILLS — The LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Auburn Hills is getting in the spirit for the Detroit Lions’ first playoff game since 2016 and the first time they’ve led their division since 1993.

The Discovery Center has suspended a LEGO lion from the rafters of its miniature football stadium in honor of the big playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 14.

The LEGO Football Stadium is one of the most popular landmarks recreated out of LEGO inside the Discovery Center’s MINILAND exhibit alongside dozens of other Detroit-area landmarks, such as the Spirit of Detroit and Renaissance Center. The entire MINILAND exhibit and its buildings are made up of over 2 million LEGO bricks.

The LEGO Football Stadium took more than two weeks to design and build, it is built out of 15,000 LEGO bricks, the stands are packed with more than 800 minifigures and it even has a playable magnetic football game where guests can move the players and score touchdowns.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center is located at 4240 Baldwin Road in Auburn Hills. More information is available at www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/michigan.
