ROSEVILLE — The Circuit Court pretrial conference for a local optometrist accused of sexually assaulting a young female patient was postponed on Feb. 16.

Brikho

Danny Brasim Brikho, 29, of Sterling Heights is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old patient in his exam room at the Roseville LensCrafters location inside Macomb Mall on Aug. 4, 2011.

The 16-year-old girl told Roseville police that Brikho administered three drops of fluid to each of her eyes and then instructed her to close her eyes. While the girl’s eyes were closed, she said she noticed something touching her lips and opened her eyes to see the doctor standing on a chair touching her mouth with his exposed penis.

The pretrial conference is rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 6 in front of Judge David F. Viviano of the Macomb County Circuit Court.

Brikho is charged with one count of assault with intent to penetrate, a 10-year felony, and one count of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, a two-year misdemeanor. Claims of a second victim coming forward have been acknowledged by the Roseville Police Department, but no additional charges have been added.

Calls to Andrew Leone, the Clinton Township-based attorney who is representing Brikho, and to the Macomb County Circuit Court Criminal Sexual Contact Unit for comment on the case were not returned at press time.

Brikho is currently out on a $2,500 bond with a no-contact order.
