STERLING HEIGHTS — The Utica Ford II girls soccer team has started slow, but coach Teri Steinwascher doesn’t think the team’s start can be attributed to personnel. At press time, the Falcons were 1-5-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the Macomb Area Conference Red Division.

WARREN — Nick Evola’s time as a member of the Warren Woods Tower family has come full circle. Evola was a member of the Titans’ first-ever division championship basketball team in 1999. As the Warren Woods Tower coach, Evola led the Titans boys hoops program to a division title in 2018 — its first since 2010.

There’s even more youth on this year’s squad, according to coach Duane Anger.
