CLINTON TOWNSHIP — When topics grow so large that no single book or meeting can properly cover them, important topics can become hard to approach.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Hopes were dashed and apologies profusely made at the Dec. 19 Mount Clemens City Commission meeting as city officials broke the news: the city’s municipal water system might not be long for this world.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The Macomb Township Board of Trustees approved a slate of board appointments at its Dec. 7 meeting.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — After four weeks, the Clinton Township Board of Trustees has again designated its paid holiday for township employees on the second Monday in October as Columbus Day.

MACOMB COUNTY — Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel announced plans for an outdoor education partnership between the county, the Detroit Zoological Society and Huron-Clinton Metroparks at the State of the County address on Dec. 7.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Following a gun scare in November that forced the district to lock down, Clintondale Community Schools is reviewing and implementing new district-wide security policies for the new year.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees has reaffirmed its change to the township’s list of named paid holidays, recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day instead of Columbus Day on the second Monday in October.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The Macomb Township Board of Trustees added a geographic information system specialist to the township’s roster of employees at its Nov. 30 meeting.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Board of Trustees met on Nov. 28 to discuss items including the possibility of adding sewer lines in the township from Townhall Street to Hazel Street and from Metro Parkway to South River Road.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The Mount Clemens City Commission has unanimously approved amending the city’s planned use of American Rescue Plan Act funds, dedicating the $1,695,162 to paying its monthly bills with the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office for policing services.
