MACOMB TOWNSHIP — In a township hall meeting room adorned with Halloween paraphernalia on Oct. 25, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees gave two incoming businesses the treat they desperately needed.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Those who have lived along and visited Lake St. Clair’s coast are familiar with the name Gino’s Surf.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Incumbent Ronald Campbell is out, while Theresa Scruggs McGarity, Spencer Calhoun and Jill Towner Yore are in for the next four years on the Mount Clemens City Commission.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Chippewa Valley High School Musical Productions will take audiences on an adventure to Bikini Bottom this November with 2023’s fall show, “The SpongeBob Musical.”

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The 104-year-old township hall will soon be electrified, as the Macomb Township Board of Trustees approved an underground easement for DTE at its Oct. 11 meeting.

MOUNT CLEMENS — On Sept. 29 at the Emerald Theater, Mayor Laura Kropp took the stage to give a forward-looking 2023 State of Mount Clemens address. Over the course of nearly an hour, the mayor recounted the past year of developments, ultimately arguing Mount Clemens is a city on the rise.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — On a cloudy Oct. 13 near the Clinton River’s bends, Harrison Township Supervisor Ken Verkest took the podium at the Gowanie Golf Club and gave the 2023 State of Harrison Township address.

MOUNT CLEMENS — As municipal elections draw closer, hopefuls for the Mount Clemens City Commission and mayor delivered the case for their candidacy at a candidate forum hosted at the Mount Clemens Public Library on Oct. 5.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — When your loved ones have dementia, it can be challenging finding safe and meaningful things to do with them. But for about a year now, the Clinton-Macomb Public Library has provided a safe place for seniors with dementia and their caretakers to get out and socialize.

MOUNT CLEMENS — In a brief meeting on Monday, Oct. 2, the Mount Clemens City Commission approved the purchase of a residence in the northeast corner of the township.
