MACOMB TOWNSHIP — As Hall Road runs through the heart of Macomb County, one can find plenty of newly built buildings and land ready for development. But one M-59 staple is celebrating its second decade of business along the highway.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — On March 13, the Clinton Township Board of Trustees tackled a dilemma presented when two youth football programs requested the use of the same city-owned practice fields.

MOUNT CLEMENS — It was transportation night at the March 6 Mount Clemens City Commission meeting as commissioners agreed on two items related to the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation, the region’s bus transit services provider.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Fire Department named Battalion Chief Jason Groth as the township’s Firefighter of the Year at the Monday, March 13, Board of Trustees meeting.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — After nearly a year of research, study and consideration, the Department of the Air Force has decided against placing a new fighter mission at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP —The Macomb Township Board of Trustees passed a resolution in support of applications for two Michigan Department of Natural Resources grants at its March 8 meeting.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees joined many Macomb County communities on Feb. 27 by adopting a new animal control ordinance in line with the county’s standards, practices and recommendations.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Zoning once again was the talk of the Macomb Township Board of Trustees meeting Feb. 22, with trustees approving a planned unit development along 24 Mile Road.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Two members of the Dakota High School Band, junior Lucas Behrendsen and senior Nico Chua, recently played on two major stages.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The Mount Clemens City Commission had a light and quick meeting on Feb. 21, tackling two separate monetary items in under 20 minutes.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Water was the main topic of the evening at the Feb. 27 Harrison Township Board of Trustees meeting, notably featuring the approval of a $31,000 sanitary sewer infrastructure, pump station and meter study for Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Anyone who has seen a Mount Clemens City Commission meeting in the past year knows who Erik Rick is. Introducing himself by his name and address, he has made good use of his allocated public comment minutes to speak on a variety of city issues.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees had parks and recreation on their minds at its Feb. 13 meeting. While not the only subject members of the board spoke about, discussions and votes related to parks and recreation kept popping up throughout the meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Land does not come cheap, nor does it go cheap, as the Macomb Township Board of Trustees found at its Feb. 8 meeting.
