CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees had parks and recreation on their minds at its Feb. 13 meeting. While not the only subject members of the board spoke about, discussions and votes related to parks and recreation kept popping up throughout the meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Land does not come cheap, nor does it go cheap, as the Macomb Township Board of Trustees found at its Feb. 8 meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Christian Hilton plays many sports. Like other kids his age, he plays basketball and was once active in football, though he has since stopped playing.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — If there are two passions in Doni Muzzy’s life, they are working on cars and print publishing.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The sun was high and bright over the weekend of Feb. 10-11, but shining rays and warm temperatures did little to stop the annual tradition of the Mount Clemens Ice Carving Show on Super Bowl weekend.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — So many different things make up a hospital. You’ll find doctors, nurses, patients, equipment and furniture, but also art. And if you are in need of a lot of art in a little time, where is a better place to start looking than in your own backyard?

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — What began as a hearing and vote on a new recreation plan turned into a debate between officials at the Jan. 30 Clinton Township Board of Trustees meeting.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Board of Trustees approved the township’s 2023-2027 recreation master plan on Jan. 23.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — When today’s seniors look back on their youths, one thing many can look fondly upon are low college tuition rates.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Clinton Township Supervisor Robert Cannon gave his 2023 State of the Township address at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library on Jan. 27. Economic development and projects involving the township’s trails, water and roads were among the topics he discussed.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Seven Macomb Township residents spoke against a proposed rezoning at the Jan. 25 Board of Trustees meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — By unanimous vote, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees has approved the township supervisor’s request to relocate the old township hall.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Macomb residents will have a new store to shop at on Jan. 26, as Meijer opens up its new grocery-focused concept at 24 Mile and Hayes roads.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — A 2023-2027 recreation master plan was brought before the Clinton Township Board of Trustees on Jan. 9, but few in attendance seemed happy with the results.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — It is “new year, new deputy” for the Harrison Township Supervisor’s Office.
