ST. CLAIR COUNTY — As we enter the heart of the summer season, boaters continue to parade around Lake St. Clair and enjoy the dining experiences it has to offer.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Board of Trustees met for a lengthy meeting on July 11, spending much of the time discussing a proposal to share the cost of having a Macomb County sheriff deputy in L’anse Creuse High School.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The Mount Clemens City Commission met on July 5 and unanimously supported a social district permit for Gumbo’s LLC.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Get ready to be awed Aug. 6 when the annual Harrison Township Parade of Lights sails along the Clinton River.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees approved an ordinance allowing food trucks in the community at its July 11 meeting.

CLAWSON/ROYAL OAK — Come fall, students will see three new administrators in the Clawson and Royal Oak public school districts.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The Macomb Township Board of Trustees voted to keep its current water rate at its July 13 meeting.

FRASER — A 32-year-old Detroit man, identified by police as Jeffery Edward Clark, has been charged in connection to a murder that took place in Fraser in the early hours of July 4.

WARREN — Two people were arrested and one may be facing charges after they were involved in an overnight standoff with Warren police. At approximately 11:30 p.m.

MACOMB COUNTY — Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a press release that he was “outraged” over low bonds issued by a visiting judge for two suspects in a July 21 shooting at a Warren gas station. At approximately 10:10 a.m.

ROSEVILLE — A child is reported to be in stable condition after allegedly ingesting her mother’s heroin.

WARREN — A Warren courtroom was silent as a video that showed a man allegedly being shot was played. Two defendants sat in front of the room, interspersed within a row of attorneys.

EASTPOINTE — A local man accused of stealing a state representative’s identity is heading to circuit court.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On Aug. 2, residents will go to the polls to vote on a number of political contests. St. Clair Shores residents also will be asked to vote on a police and fire millage renewal, known as Proposal A. The current millage is set to expire on June 30, 2023.

ORCHARD LAKE — The Orchard Lake Police Department recently became much more than a facility where suspected criminals are taken to jail.

MADISON HEIGHTS — Albert Morrison, the former board president of the Madison District Public Schools, who in April was indicted on federal charges of tax evasion and failure to file tax returns, now faces an additional charge of conspiracy to commit bribery.

WARREN — A Warren man is facing charges in an Oakland County court for allegedly forcing a minor to engage in commercial sex.

WARREN — A man is dead and another is in jail after a hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning. At approximately 5 a.m. July 12, Warren police officers were dispatched to a suspected crash involving a bicyclist near 13 Mile and Mound roads.
