Chippewa and Dakota football set to clash in Friday night playoff game

Clinton Township Chippewa Valley and Macomb Dakota football will have their respective seasons on the line when the programs square off in a Division 1 predistrict playoff game at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Chippewa.

Chippewa has won each of its nine regular-season games this year, with Dakota at 5-4 on the season.

Dating back to last season, the Big Reds have won 23 consecutive games.

Chippewa has won the last five games played between the programs, including playoff wins in each of the last two years and a 27-21 victory earlier this season.

Overall, Dakota has won 19 of its 32 games played against Chippewa.

Dakota’s last win against Chippewa came in a playoff game in 2016.
