NOVI — Novi senior diver Lorelai Maisano has etched her name in the Wildcats history books.

NOVI — Justin Fischer’s election as mayor has left a vacancy on the Novi City Council, which, according to the city charter, must be filled by a council appointee within 30 days or otherwise will require a special election.

NOVI — There is a new mayor in town, and his name is Justin Fischer.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Motorists should be on high alert for deer in the roadway this winter. Each year, there are over 50,000 deer-car crashes reported in Michigan, according to the Michigan State Police, with the majority of vehicle-deer crashes occurring in the late fall and early winter.

NOVI — Hundreds of people gathered at Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk Nov. 17 for Light the Lights!, Novi’s tree-lighting ceremony in the center of the shopping area.

OAKLAND COUNTY — The Michigan High School Athletic Association swim and dive state finals marked a successful end to the season for a slew of Oakland County teams Nov. 18.
