FARMINGTON HILLS — According to a press release from the city of Farmington Hills, the Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Oct. 31 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

The incident occurred on Stratford Court, in a subdivision located east of Haggerty Road and north of 13 Mile Road.

Police received multiple 911 calls of gunshots fired at a house party stemming from an earlier altercation inside the home.

As officers arrived, they encountered people fleeing the scene on foot and in vehicles, and police recovered multiple shell casings.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area and residences, finding no victims from the incident. However, the occupied home hosting the party was struck by multiple bullets.

Investigators and evidence technicians identified a possible suspect vehicle involved in the incident, according to the release.

The release states that investigators continue to receive and pursue information and evidence in order to identify and arrest “those responsible for this violent crime.”

Officers have received descriptions of people who were involved in the altercation at the party and who were possibly involved in the shooting incident. Witnesses provided the following descriptions: three Black men, all 20-30 years old. One had dreadlocks and gold teeth, and was wearing a purple shirt; one had a beard and was wearing a brown shirt; and one was described as having light skin and dreadlocks, and was wearing a yellow hoodie.

The FHPD is asking anyone who has information related to this incident to call the Farmington Hills Police Command Desk at (248) 871-2610.

“Preliminary evidence indicates that this incident was targeted, and we have no reason to believe that there is an increase of danger toward the public at this time,” Police Chief Jeff King stated in the release.
