The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips to help find a man who allegedly robbed a Chase bank in Rochester Hills Dec. 31.

A man wearing a black Jordan running suit, a black Detroit Lions hat and sunglasses entered the Chase bank in the 70 block of North Adams Road at around 4:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and reportedly gave a handwritten note to a teller, claiming to be armed and announcing a robbery.

The teller placed an undisclosed amount of money into an envelope and handed it to the suspect, who then fled on foot in an unknown direction. An Oakland County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was called to the scene to help in the investigation. Police said no weapons were seen during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, with tattoos on his hands.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about the robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 911. Callers will remain anonymous, according to police.
