ST. CLAIR SHORES — Shine up that chrome and start those engines: the 28th annual Shorewood Kiwanis Club of St. Clair Shores Harper Charity Cruise is driving into town from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 31.

FRASER — The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6691 in Fraser is inviting the public to rev their engines for a good cause with its 10th annual car show.

FERNDALE — The rev of the engines soared around downtown Ferndale as the annual Woodward Dream Cruise celebrated its 27th year.

METRO DETROIT — Thinking back to his childhood in metro Detroit, Mark Boettcher remembers the four-speed 1968 Chevrolet Corvette that his older brother, Don Boettcher, owned.

ROYAL OAK — The 2022 Woodward Dream Cruise, founded in 1995, will roll into town Saturday, Aug. 20.

CLAWSON — The Clawson Lions Club is gearing up to host its annual Down on Main Street car show on Saturday, Aug. 13. The event, now in its 24th year, takes place one week before the Woodward Dream Cruise and is the club’s largest fundraiser.

BERKLEY — Hundreds of classic vehicles will find their way to downtown Berkley this month for the annual CruiseFest Classic Car Parade.

FERNDALE — Ferndale, where the Woodward Dream Cruise began in 1995, is planning the event’s return home.

EASTPOINTE — A group of local war veterans got behind their steering wheels July 21 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park in Eastpointe.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — As summer comes to the metro Detroit area, the familiar sight of custom and classic cars cruising along thoroughfares returns from Woodward to Van Dyke avenues and everywhere in between.
