BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Police are investigating after a man in a truck reportedly approached two students as they were walking home from a school bus stop in Bloomfield Township.

ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS/OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Incumbents Julie Alspach and Jayson Blake, along with newcomer Shelley Lauzon, were elected to three six-year terms on the Rochester Community Schools Board of Education Nov. 5, according to unofficial results from the Oakland and Macomb County elections divisions. Incumbents Barb Anness and Michelle Bueltel secured terms ending Dec. 13, 2026, on the board, outpacing incumbent Andrew Weaver and challenger Johnathan Sesi.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Michael D. McCready was elected the new supervisor of Bloomfield Township Nov. 5, outpacing incumbent Dani Walsh, according to unofficial results from the Oakland County Elections Division.

ROCHESTER HILLS — A 72-year-old man from Rochester Hills was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk early on Nov. 3.  According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at approximately 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Rochester and Avon roads.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Four women were arrested after allegedly stealing $3,200 in merchandise from various stores in Bloomfield Township. 

ROCHESTER HILLS — Deputies were dispatched to Lululemon, 252 N. Adams Road, for a report on a retail fraud that had just occurred at 6:58 p.m. Sept. 14.
