SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department recently promoted one of its veteran officers to a higher rank.

UTICA — For 15 years, the Joy to You Project has collected, purchased and donated needed items for local women’s shelters. Each December, the organization has put on a holiday concert, called “Joy to You,” featuring local professionals to raise money and collect supplies.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP/UTICA — The College Board, which administers Advanced Placement tests, has announced that 573 Utica Community Schools students have received national scholar designations.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The new Shelby Township featured artist for the months of November and December 2022 is Marshelia Williams. Her exhibition has been set up at the Shelby Township Senior Center, 14975 21 Mile Road, and will be on display through January 15.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department is investigating a hit and run that injured a pedestrian in a shopping center parking lot last month.
