FRASER — Plans for long overdue roadwork in the Fraser Industrial Park are being debated as local property and business owners, and city officials, discuss a controversial assessment to pay for the project.

PLEASANT RIDGE — The Pleasant Ridge City Commission approved a contract for the construction of the Woodward Avenue cycle track, and work is expected to begin soon.

BIRMINGHAM/BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — As the weather warms up, the police departments along Woodward Avenue are working together to address cruising and vehicle noise.

STERLING HEIGHTS — Commutes across parts of Sterling Heights may begin to take longer than usual due to a new season of road construction, according to city officials.

ROCHESTER HILLS — The second in a series of five public meetings designed to gather thoughts on Adams Road will be held May 9, and community members are invited to attend to share their input.

BIRMINGHAM — Around the beginning of May, the city of Birmingham is set to start a non-motorized shared-use path project with Cranbrook.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP— An outcry of concern from Bloomfield Township residents has prompted the Michigan Department of Transportation to keep the Square Lake Road ramp to the eastbound Interstate 75 business loop.

ROCHESTER HILLS/SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Construction in the Avon Road corridor continues to cause road closures on the border of Rochester Hills and Shelby Township as crews work to complete a series of infrastructure improvements by August.

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Clarkston Road, between Adams and Lake George roads in Oakland Township, has temporarily closed to through traffic through late June.
