METRO DETROIT — After a long year of waiting, the Rocket Mortgage Classic is finally set to return to Detroit.

Festivities have already gotten underway, but tournament play will begin July 1 and run through July 4 at the Detroit Golf Club. Following is a recap of information regarding the tournament.

Star-studded field
Fans in attendance of the tournament will be treated to some of the top talent the sport has to offer.

The field includes players such as Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and Hideki Matsuyama, among others. DeChambeau is the reigning champion of the event, Phil Mickelson recently won the PGA Championship, Watson has won The Masters twice, Matsuyama won The Masters back in April, and Fowler has won five times on tour.

Tickets and club access
At press time, tickets were still available to catch the action throughout the holiday weekend.

For a Thursday grounds ticket, fans will have to pay $65. Friday will cost $80, while the final two days of the tournament will be $85 each.

Those wishing for seats on a specific hole can look for hospitality seating called the Lending Tree Lounge. The hospitality seating area will have views including the 16th fairway, 16th green, 17th tee, and 14th tee. Seating in the Lending Tree Lounge costs $425 a day and includes complimentary food and drinks.

For those seeking to entertain multiple people, the ULTRA Club might be the place to do it. The private club is behind the 15th green but also offers great views of players on the par 5 14th hole and the tee shot on the par 4 16th hole. An upgraded menu including bar service will be available for individual purchase, and private restrooms will be available to all ULTRA Club attendees. The ULTRA Club tickets are $250 a day.

Club 1899 offers access to great golf and great food. In the heart of AREA 313, this club will have a 360-degree view of golf, including the par 5 14th, the par 3 15th, and the par 4 16th tee — and just out the back door is the 18th. An all-inclusive culinary experience including wine, whiskey and bourbon tastings, and exclusive craft beer offerings, is also part of the package. Seating for the 1899 Club is $1,000 a day.
