SOTUTHFIELD –– If Southfield A&T wrestling coach Eric Moon had to describe his team’s season in one word, he would use “adverse.” Moon noted that his team went through a lot of different challenges this season, but he saw his group make progress along the way.

GROSSE POINTES — The wrestling season may not have ended the way Grosse Pointe North and Grosse Pointe South wanted, but there are still positives to take away from a strong season. North and South battled in the opening round of a Division 1 team district Feb. 7 at South. Ultimately, South was able to squeak out a 39-37 victory over the Norsemen.

The Highlanders performed well at the 59th annual Oakland County tournament Dec. 21-22, with 10 wrestlers placing and 13 wrestlers making day two of the tournament. Overall, Adams placed third.
