She covered Shelby Township and Utica for the Shelby-Utica News from 2013 to 2017. Sarah is a graduate of Oakland University. She has won four Excellence in Journalism awards from the Detroit chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

ROYAL OAK — At a weekend arraignment Sept. 14, 52-1 District Court Magistrate Victor Zanolli charged Michael Jay Allen, 50, of Detroit, with one count of larceny from a person, a felony that  carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
