FERNDALE — The city of Ferndale is moving forward with its plans for a pilot program for downtown valet parking. Approved at its May 11 meeting, the City Council approved both the three-month pilot program and a lease agreement with Credit Union One to use its parking lot for the valet service.

BERKLEY — An unfortunate accident at a crosswalk in Berkley led to the death of a small dog. According to the Berkley Public Safety Department, the incident took place at approximately 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, near Coolidge Highway and Harvard Road.

FERNDALE — The Cinco de Mayo Festival is back again in Ferndale for its fourth year. Held annually since 2023 in downtown Ferndale, the Cinco de Mayo Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 2, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 3, on East Nine Mile Road.
