ROCHESTER — The Rochester Fire Department is taking registrations for its third annual Citizens Fire Academy, which will begin Sept. 13.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS — The man who police believe to be responsible for a robbery at a Grosse Pointe Woods bank earlier this month has been taken into custody.

ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police Department is inviting the public to share comments during a voluntary state assessment later this month.

EASTPOINTE/ROSEVILLE — At first, 2-year-old Tyler Lombardo was apprehensive about meeting Roseville police K-9 Chase. He hid behind his mother, but after some words of encouragement from Roseville Police Detective Brain Dobrzycki, who held the leash, the boy approached the dog and began stroking its fur.
