CLINTON TOWNSHIP — On Jan. 12, the Clinton Township Board of Trustees unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance restricting the sale of kratom to people under 21.

MOUNT CLEMENS — On Jan. 5, the Mount Clemens City Commission approved the creation of an ad-hoc committee to address homelessness and housing instability within the city.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — On Jan. 7, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously to sue Consumers Energy over access to a road easement.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP/ST. CLAIR SHORES — A man from Clinton Township was arraigned in the 40th District Court on Jan. 6 for a robbery that occurred in December.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees approved a merger of the township’s Recreation Department and senior center operations at its Dec. 22 meeting.

MOUNT CLEMENS — With Macomb Place reopened and the Downtown Revitalization Project nearing completion, city officials are turning their attention to Main Street in Mount Clemens.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — With the board chambers adorned in holiday decor and lights, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees honored a group of gift-givers at its Dec. 17 meeting. Trustees awarded seven members of the Macomb Township Fire Department — Capt. Ken Bartz, Sgt.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The case against three people charged in the attempted murder of a Macomb Township man has been extended into the new year after a new charge was added for one of the defendants.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — A plan to merge two township departments has seen its first major public review, but further action will take place later.

MACOMB COUNTY — If there is anything criminals care less about than the law, it is jurisdictional boundaries. In order to more effectively combat drug crime across Macomb County, the Warren Police Department has been given countywide jurisdiction from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office as part of a narcotics task force.

MACOMB COUNTY — It’s a new verse, same as the first. Much more digital and a fair bit worse. As the limits of technology are pushed further, so too are the frontiers of scammers looking to make their money off of the misfortune of others.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Between the Thanksgiving holiday and a desire to attend the State of Macomb County address, members of the Macomb Township Board of Trustees held consecutive Tuesday meetings on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2.
