SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Library is offering a summer of reading and entertainment for all ages. The library’s “Level Up at Your library” summer reading program invites babies, children, teens and adults to get engaged in books over the summer.

TROY — During a meeting of the Troy City Council June 9, plans for a new library building were presented by Peter Bolek, the president and director of design at HBM Architects, LLC.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The St. Clair Shores City Council approved a brick paver program to improve the entrance of the library in a 7-0 vote at its meeting on June 2.

ROCHESTER HILLS — A new early literacy bookmobile and longer service hours have been added to the Rochester Hills Public Library’s offerings this summer.

ROYAL OAK — The Royal Oak Public Library is putting on its annual summer reading program with the theme of “Color Our World.”

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Summer reading is back at the Harrison Township Public Library with a new theme and new activities patrons young and old can enjoy.

ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS/OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Summer is upon us, and with it comes a host of free time to fill. The Rochester Hills Public Library is inviting children, teens and adults to spend their summer engaged in books and other fun programming at the library.

BIRMINGHAM — School may be out, but that does not mean the learning has to stop. By participating in a summer reading program, children and teens can continue learning by reading all summer long. The Baldwin Public Library summer reading program runs June 13-Aug. 8.
