WARREN — The Warren City Council recently voted to move forward with a project that will create two new rental homes and an ordinance that will allow for more in the future.

EASTPOINTE — A complaint filed by a former Eastpointe employee was found to have no merit, according to a third-party investigator.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — While a good portion of Nov. 3 Clinton Township Board of Trustees meeting was taken up by a dispute with a resident over a sewer line, general business at the meeting was weighted toward project approvals.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — At its meeting on Oct. 27, the Harrison Township Board of Trustees voted 5-2 to approve Fishbeck as the township’s new contracted engineering firm.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — It was a new venue, old messages and all Paul Gieleghem at the 2025 State of Clinton Township.

ROYAL OAK — A resolution to initiate a Safe Routes to School infrastructure program was unanimously approved by the Royal Oak City Commission Oct. 13. 

GROSSE POINTE FARMS — The fate of the shuttered Jo-Ann fabric and craft store at 18850 Mack Ave. is no longer a question mark.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Voters in Precinct No. 5 will have a change of scenery the next time they go out to vote in-person after the Macomb Township Board of Trustees decided to switch the precinct’s polling venue.

FRASER — At its meeting on Oct. 9, the Fraser City Council approved a number of items to improve city functions. The approvals all came in 6-0 votes.

UTICA — During the Utica City Council meeting Oct. 14, council members unanimously rejected a letter of intention from Zuniga Cement Construction Inc. to purchase 22 city-owned acres on Chapoton Street that were part of the former packing plant’s property.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Planning Commission met Oct. 13 to give an update on the development of the city’s master plan — a document that will guide the city into the future.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — At its meeting on Oct. 14, the Harrison Township Board of Trustees approved a permit for the installation of fiber internet infrastructure in a 6-0 vote

EASTPOINTE — After several months of searching, the Eastpointe City Council has extended a job offer to a potential city manager.

WEST BLOOMFIELD — At a special meeting of the West Bloomfield Board of Trustees Oct. 15, various funds were received and filed.

ROSEVILLE — A Roseville councilwoman who recently died is remembered as being passionate about the city and a good friend and confidant.

WARREN — Warren Mayor Lori Stone said running the city has brought her many things over her term’s first 23 months.
