Boil water advisory lifted in Novi, but do not use irrigation

The boil water advisory in Novi was lifted as of Sept. 30, according to a text message alert sent to residents from the Novi Police Department.

It is “imperative” that residents not use irrigation systems until further notice, according to the city. Use of irrigation systems may put a strain on the 24-inch water main that is now carrying the city’s water supply instead of the regular 42-inch main.
