Authorities searching for missing endangered man

FERNDALE — Authorities May 12 are looking for a man who lives near the border between Royal Oak Township and Ferndale who has been reported missing and endangered by authorities.

According to Michigan State Police, 31-year-old Dallas Walton has been missing since approximately 8 p.m. May 11. He was last seen walking away from his group home, which is located at 21412 Reimanville Ave. That is just a few houses south of Northend Avenue, which is part of the border between Ferndale and Royal Oak Township.

Authorities also stated in a news release that Walton has a medical condition that requires him to take medication, which he does not have with him, and that he has a “diminished mental capacity and is non-verbal.”

Walton is described as an African American man who was wearing pajama pants of an unknown color, a red T-shirt and white FILA sneakers. He is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Another person was reported missing from the same address May 6. Michigan State Police later reported that the person was found and was safe.
