UPDATE: According to Fraser Department of Public Safety Director Mike Pettyes, 16-year-old Ashleigh Pietrangelo was "located with her boyfriend in Roseville."

"The family appreciates all the help," Pettyes said. "The circumstances of her leaving made the family very uneasy and this is why we put this out to the media. But she is fine and thanks again for all your support."

MACOMB COUNTY — The Fraser Department of Public Safety, with the aid of the U.S. Marshals Service, is looking for 16-year-old Ashleigh Pietrangelo.

Fraser DPS officials stated that the teenager has been missing since approximately midnight Aug. 14. She lives with her mother in an apartment in the area of 15 Mile and Garfield roads.

She is described as a white female, with blonde and brown hair, brown/hazel eyes, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, and weighing 100 pounds. She has 12 piercings in her right ear, seven piercings in her left ear, a pierced navel, a pierced tongue and a black wristband tattoo on her left arm.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray pajama shorts and black flip-flops. Police said she “may be held against her will.”

Fraser Detective Scott Witkowski said Pietrangelo, who is known to “frequent” Fraser, Roseville and Clinton Township, fled her home in an “unknown direction.” Her boyfriend, a 17-year-old from Roseville, was also described as missing. Two other individuals, described as friends of Pietrangelo, may also be involved, according to police.

“We believe that she’s hanging out with them somewhere, or they’re assisting her in some way, shape or form,” Witkowski said.

Vehicles that may be part of her disappearance include a gray Ford Fusion, a silver Ford Taurus, a white Ford Taurus and a white Pontiac Grand Prix.

U.S. Marshals have assisted Fraser DPS since the day after Pietrangelo left her home, he added.

Individuals on Facebook, including family and friends of the missing girl, have posted pictures of Pietrangelo and are encouraging others to share information.

Witkowski said nothing “concrete” has been found as part of the investigation.

“She’s had some runaways before, but nothing to this duration,” Witkowski said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact SERESA emergency dispatch services at (586) 777-6700, or Witkowski at (586) 293-2000, ext. 222.
