LTU shares economic impact plan
SOUTHFIELD — Lawrence Technological University recently shared its Economic Impact Study, which was developed to foster growth, innovation and sustainability to stimulate economic progress throughout Michigan.

According to the study, the university had a $410 million economic impact on southeastern Michigan during its 2021-2022 academic year.

The university said that the impact is $30 million more than the $377 million impact the university had just two years prior. The study reported that LTU’s economic impact was five times its direct expenditures due to the fact that more than 90% of LTU’s graduates remain in the Detroit area.

On average, they said, LTU graduates earned the highest starting salaries in Michigan among all universities in the past three consecutive years, starting at $66,000 per year, with over 95% of graduates employed upon graduation.
