STERLING HEIGHTS — A 41-year-old school bus driver from Grosse Pointe Park died after touching a power line while working on a lift on Aug. 25, Sterling Heights police said in a media release.

MOUNT CLEMENS — At the sounding of a whistle shortly after 9 a.m. on Aug. 21, the denizens of Mount Clemens were awoken by the thundering drums and trumpeting horns of one of Macomb County’s oldest traditions, marching through the city’s streets.

EASTPOINTE — A Livonia woman faces up to life in prison after allegedly firing a gun at her friend’s father when he asked her to leave his Eastpointe home.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Summer is coming to a close and that means that high school football teams across Michigan are preparing for the 2025 season.

TROY — The Troy Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit has made two arrests in connection with an ongoing auto theft investigation. The arrests were made with the help of the Macomb County Auto Theft Unit.

GROSSE POINTE FARMS — An alert motorist who called 911 immediately enabled Grosse Pointe Farms Public Safety Department officers to save the life of a woman who had driven into Lake St. Clair.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — After a month of observation, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees on Aug. 13 found Priority Waste’s performance improved enough to keep its waste hauler contact, at least for another month.
